Studio 1st year, 2nd semester, Bezalel, Department of Architecture

The second semester of architectural studies deals with perfecting the understandings and skills of the first semester and turning them into disciplinary tools of documentation, criticism and planning and in the process understanding the urban space as a system and its components in the context of architectural thought and practice. The main emphasis will be on the relationship between intention and planning while presenting the architectural discipline as a means of realizing possibilities that did not exist before. The studio is a place for the development of intention and the development of female students as planners with independent and critical thinking, where a discussion of the architectural idea and its ability to build theory and practice. The teaching method emphasizes a conscious, active, independent and specific look at the built space through the documents and tools the students will learn to use, including video documents, photographic documents, maps, drawings and models. The students deal with a variety of scales: 1:10, 1:25, 1:50, 1:100 1:200. The course  is divided into three chapters, each of which includes a set of exercises, which will add up to one coherent course: documentation and editing of an urban site and planning of an intervention in it.
