The first semester of architecture studies is a formative semester, its role is to be a foundation in a distinct way. During it the students develop the ability to articulate and build thinking through a wide field of artistic and professional tools and skills. The teaching method emphasizes a conscious, independent and specific look at the world through the documents and visual tools that the students will learn to use. The document is seen as valuable and an end in itself both as an unmediated artifact and as a mediation and criticism tool.
